Arcadia University - Dual Admission Agreement

Preface
大发六合彩 (DCCC) and Arcadia University (AU) enter into this Dual听Admission and Core-to-Core Transfer Agreement to facilitate the transfer of DCCC听students to AU. This agreement applies to both full-time and part-time undergraduate students.
Dual Admission
Under the Dual Admission Transfer Agreement, 大发六合彩students will听be guaranteed admission into AU with third year (junior) status at AU on the condition that they:
- Graduate from 大发六合彩with an Associate in Arts (A.A.)听or an Associate in Science (A.S.) degree with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5*;听Please see Appendix A for a list of听majors included in this agreement;
- Enroll at AU within one year of 大发六合彩graduation;听
- Do not attend another institution of higher education between the time they graduate from听大发六合彩and enroll at AU;
- Complete a "Dual Admission lntent to Enroll" form at the time of admission to DCCC, or no later than听when they have completed 30 college transferable credits from all colleges/universities attended;
- Satisfy听all other regular AU admissions requirements;
- Receive a grade of "C-" or better. Only grades with a"C-" or higher will transfer to AU; and
- AU requires matriculated students to complete 50% of their major courses at听the University.听AU听will accept a maximum of 75 credits from a 2-year college and 90 credits from a 4-year college. Students should be aware that not all credits will be applied towards their major at AU.
A fulI-time student admitted with third year (junior) status to AU will be able to complete a Bachelor's degree at AU within four regular semesters**听provided the student completes听the
appropriate Associate Degree program at 大发六合彩and completes and appropriately sequences his/her听remaining course work at AU.
*听Certain majors may require higher GPAs (for example, Education 3.0, Pre-PA and Pre-PT 3.2 for assured admission).
**听Except for students enrolled in the BFA in Acting, Art Education or Studio Art or BA in Biology with a concentration听in Pre-PA or Pre-PT, as these programs may take more than 4 semesters.
Core-to-Core
AU agrees to accept the General Education embedded in DCCC's Associate in Arts (A.A.) and听Associate in Science (A.S.) degrees as meeting all the requirements of its undergraduate General Education requirements, except for the Global Connections Experience and Reflection as well as听the Senior Capstone Course.*** This Core-to-Core Agreement applies to all 大发六合彩A.A.听and A.S.听graduates with majors listed in Appendix A and is not limited to students who participate in the听Dual Admission agreement.
This Dual Admission and Core-to-Core Transfer Agreement becomes effective on May 1, 2011.听To facilitate the transfer of 大发六合彩graduates to AU in accordance with the foregoing guarantee, the听parties agree to the following:
Obligations of Arcadia University
1. To invite 大发六合彩students to an informational meeting with AU faculty and staff on a regular听basis at both 大发六合彩and AU in order to facilitate smooth curricular and co-curricular
integration to AU.
2. To send an AU letter of admission to all 大发六合彩students who complete a "Dual Admission听Intent to Enroll" form and AU application in accordance with the expectations stated听in the Preface of this agreement and who meet the conditions set forth in the Preface. This听offer of admission is typically sent the semester before the students plan to matriculate.听Students must confirm their intention to matriculate at AU by submitting a deposit by May 1st听for the fall semester, and by December 1st for the spring semester, and satisfy all other听regular AU admissions requirements. 大发六合彩students who complete a "Dual Admission听Intent to Enroll" form will be governed by the AU degree requirements in effect at the time of signing听the "Dual Admission Intent to Enroll" form.
3. To waive the application fee for students who enroll at AU pursuant to this Agreement.听
4. To award academic scholarships to all qualified students admitted to AU pursuant to this听Agreement. Full-time AU students (enrolled in 12 or more credits a semester) with a 3.0听-听3.19 final听大发六合彩GPA will receive a minimum of $7,500 scholarship; full-time students with a 3.2 - 3.49 final 大发六合彩GPA will receive a minimm of $9,000 scholarship; and fuIl-time
students with a 3.5 - 4.0 will receive a minimum of $14,000 scholarship. Students with听a 3.5 - 4.0 cumulative GPA will also be eligible to receive听a $5,000/yr Partner Scholarship.听Part-time students (enrolled in 6 to 11 credits a semester) with a final 大发六合彩GPA of 3.0 or听higher will听receive a $500 scholarship. All scholarships may be renewed each year听contingent upon the students remaining in good academic standing at AU. Students must maintain a 2.0 cumulative GPA to remain in good standing. Students are also eligible for听need-based financial aid and other types of financial aid. 大发六合彩students admitted under the听agreement will receive full consideration for all AU financial aid.听
5. To ensure these students will be provided with AU financial aid information and receive full consideration for AU financial aid upon matriculation at AU.听
6. To support a Core-to-Core articulation agreement that allows the 大发六合彩A. A. or A.S.听degree听to fuIfill听all AU General Education requirements, except for the Global Connections听Experience and Reflection as well as the Senior Capstone Course.***听Eligible DCCC听graduates enrolling at AU will be identified upon admission to AU, and the fact that they听have satisfied AU General Education requirements by Core-to-Core transfer will be noted听on all pertinent AU student records.
7. To accept Core-to-Core transfers as satisfying all the requirements of the AU General听Education curriculum, except for those noted above, to be taken at AU. Core-to-Core
transfer does not alter the requirements of the student's major field of study or its admissions听standard as identified in the AU catalog published in the year the student signed the
agreement.
8. 大发六合彩graduates entering AU under the terms of this agreement go through the AU normal听transfer admissions process and therefore must meet all applicable AU requirements and
deadlines pertaining to application for admission, orientation and registration, and payment听of tuition and fees. They will abide by the policies and procedures, and any revisions
thereof, that apply to all AU students.
9. To continue working with 大发六合彩on program-to-program curriculum articulation听agreements that specify听for 大发六合彩transfer students the 大发六合彩courses that satisfy听major
requirements needed for degree completion at AU.
***In the case where the student does not earn a "B" or better in English Composition I, a placement exam will be听administered. The results will determine if an additional writing class is required.
Obligations of 大发六合彩
To publicize this Agreement to prospective students in its promotional literature, to make special听arrangements for AU recruiters and advisors to visit DCCC, and to inform qualified students听matriculating at 大发六合彩of the opportunity for Dual Admission and Core-to-Core transfer to AU听under the terms of this Agreement.
Joint Obligations
1.听Consult with each other through appropriate channels prior to implementing major changes听in policy or curricula that directly affect students transferring under the terms of this
Agreement, and keep each other informed of any other changes of policy or curricula that听affect those students. Both AU and 大发六合彩will review this Agreement annually and make
any changes upon mutual agreement, as needed. Such changes will become effective when听both 大发六合彩and AU sign the revised document.
2. Collaborate in providing students with information and academic advising about this听agreement, AU's academic requirements, and the process of transferring to AU.
3. 大发六合彩and AU jointly agree to develop and implement advertising and promotional efforts听to communicate the benefits of Dual Admission and Core-to-Core transfer.
4. Each institution will designate a representative or representatives who will coordinate the听Dual Admission and Core-to-Core Transfer Agreement between the two institutions.
5. Exchange data and documents annually that will contribute to the maintenance and improvement of this Dual Admission听and Core-to-Core arrangement, enhance the transfer process and promote听effective cooperation between institutions.听The institution(s) will听exchange data only after obtaining appropriate听permission from the students as indicated听on听the Dual Admissions Intent to Enroll form.
6.听Facilitate and support consultation and collaboration between听their faculties related听to this agreement, General Education, degree requirements. and other academic matters.
7. To provide direct links between AU and 大发六合彩websites.听
Revision, Renewal and Termination of this Agreement
The AU Assistant Provost for Special Projects and DCCC's Provost Office, or their designates, are听responsible for identifying听and communicating to听each other, changes in the policies or requirements of their respective institutions that affect this听Agreement.听
This Agreement will be in effect听as of the date of its signing, for students entering AU on or after听May听1, 2011. It will be reviewed听annually by the appropriate parties at each institution, and will be听renewed automatically until superseded by a new听Agreement or formally terminated. Either institution may terminate this Agreement at any time by written notice at least one year听in advance听of the effective date of termination. Should this Agreement be terminated, it is understood that the termination will not apply to students already accepted to AU under the terms听of this Agreement.

Addendum- lnternational Conditional Admission
DCCC听is proud to partner with AU in a Conditional听Admissions program for international students. Students who successfully complete a two year听Associate's Degree with 大发六合彩are guaranteed admission at AU to complete a Bachelor's Degree.听
Effective September 13, 2013, AU will offer conditional admission to international students enrolling at DCCC. Admission to AU is contingent upon:
1) Completion of your 大发六合彩Associate听Degree in one of the听approved majors listed in the Dual Admission Agreement.
2) Maintaining a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.50. Specific majors may be subject听to additional academic requirements such as Education (3.0) or pre-health majors such as听Physical Therapy or Physician Assistant (3.2).
3) Submission of AU's free online application.
4) Completion of ENG 100 at 大发六合彩with a grade of B or higher in听each course. lf ENG 100 not completed, the TOEFL or IELTS will be required.
5) Completion of the Dual Admissions lntent to Enroll form prior to earning 30 transferable credits.

5.听大发六合彩graduates who are entering as third-year students at AU听will NOT be required听to complete BA 101, Intemational Business & Culture, however, students will be required to fulfill听this 'international' requirement by taking International Marketing at AU (BA 344).
6.听Upper-level Business and Economics requirements are offered at the Glenside and King of Prussia听campuses in 15-week face-to-face, 7-week partially online, and 7-week fully online formats.

For the BA/BS Degree in Business with a Concentration, 6 BA/EC courses must听be completed at AU as well as 2 courses in the Concentration.
5. Students interested in the BA degree are required to complete two of the following AU Math courses.

4. AU recommends that students take American Literature (ENG 230) or Children's听Literature (ENG 250).
5. Students should take MAT 125 and MAT 126, which will satisfy听the PA Department of Education听requirement of 2 math courses. Additionally, the completion of MAT 125 and MAT 126 will waive听the ED 318听Developing Mathematicians at Arcadia. Students must complete both MAT 125 and听MAT 126 at 大发六合彩in order to get the equivalent credit at Arcadia.
6. Students apply to the School of Education after completion of their first semester at Arcadia. Students are required to have a 3.0 cumulative GPA and passing听PAPA scores.
7. Before enrolling at Arcadia, students must have current PA Criminal Background and Child Abuse听Clearances and FBI Background Clearance.
