Eastern University Dual Admissions Agreement

大发六合彩, hereinafter referred to as DCCC, the College of Arts聽and Sciences, hereinafter referred to as CAS, and the Graduate and Professional Studies Schools, hereinafter referred to as GPSS, within Eastern University, hereinafter referred to聽as Eastern, will enter into this agreement to facilitate the transfer of 大发六合彩graduates into CAS and GPSS colleges within Eastern. CAS and GPSS welcome 大发六合彩graduates via the Dual聽Admissions Agreement. This agreement supersedes the previous Dual Admissions agreement signed July 2007.
2. Terms and Conditions
Under this Dual Admissions Agreement, 大发六合彩students will be guaranteed admissions into a聽parallel Bachelor鈥檚 Degree program with third year status at Eastern on the condition that they meet the following criteria:
- Complete a 鈥淒ual Admissions Intent to Enroll鈥 form before completion of 30 college聽level credits from 大发六合彩or any other college or university;
- Graduate from 大发六合彩with an Associate in Fine Arts (A.F.A), Associate in Science (A.S.),聽Associate in Arts (A.A.), or Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S) degree (Accounting*聽and Nursing**) with a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.0. If applying to聽an Education major, 大发六合彩graduates are required to hold a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 from all institutions attended.
- Complete additional Admission Materials as required including the completion of the聽appropriate CAS or GPSS application in the final year of the 大发六合彩degree program.聽聽Admission into certain CAS degree programs may require an additional application to聽that academic department directly. 大发六合彩applicants should contact the Admissions聽Office for more information.
- Enroll at Eastern within one year of 大发六合彩graduation, not complete more than six聽credits after graduating and not attend another institution between the time聽the聽student graduates from 大发六合彩and enrolls at Eastern.
*聽 The A.A.S in Accounting is only approved for the Graduate and Professional Studies Schools.
** RN to BSN
For Eastern University - both the College of Arts and Sciences and the Graduate and聽Professional Studies Schools:
- Eastern will waive the admissions application fee for both full-time and part-time聽students and will provide access to ongoing advising while students are attending DCCC.聽大发六合彩students admitted through Dual Admissions are permitted to study full-time聽or part-time upon enrollment at Eastern.
- Students can transfer up to 89 credits into both CAS and GPSS programs. Only courses聽with a grade of 鈥淐鈥 or better are transferrable towards the student鈥檚 major. A grade of聽鈥淐鈥 is required to fulfill the written communication requirement. Courses with grades聽lower than 鈥淐鈥 will transfer as electives.
- 大发六合彩Dual Admissions students are required to submit their official DCCC, GED聽certificate or high school and college transcripts from all previously attended colleges聽and universities prior to enrollment at Eastern.
- Eastern will ensure that 大发六合彩Dual Admissions students entering Eastern under the terms of this Agreement will go through Eastern鈥檚 enrollment聽process and therefore must meet all applicable Eastern聽requirements and聽deadlines pertaining to orientation and registration, and payment of tuition and fees.聽聽They will abide by the policies and procedures, and any revisions thereof, which apply to聽all Eastern聽students.
- Students will be provided with Eastern financial aid information and receive聽full consideration for Eastern financial aid, in addition to the scholarships聽listed in this agreement, upon matriculation at Eastern.
- 大发六合彩Dual Admissions students must meet all outstanding academic, financial,聽disciplinary or other obligations to 大发六合彩prior to being considered for admission.
- Spring semester entry to Eastern may affect the normal sequence of courses in a degree聽program.
For Eastern University, CAS聽Financial Considerations:
Scholarships will be awarded to all Dual Admissions graduates admitted into Eastern Full-time聽and who meet the scholarship criteria in this agreement:
Cumulative college GPA 3.75 - 4.00 $12,000
Cumulative college GPA 3.50 - 3.74 $11,000
Cumulative college GPA 3.00 - 3.49 $10,000
- This scholarship is renewable each May for the following year provided that students聽earned a minimum of 21 new credits and achieved satisfactory academic progress聽within CAS. Students must also maintain a fulltime enrollment status of at least 12 new聽credits per semester
- Eastern鈥檚 policy states that a student may not receive more than the cost of聽tuition in Eastern funded scholarships and grants. Program participants may聽apply for all legitimate forms of governmental and non-governmental aid for which they聽qualify.
GPSS Financial Considerations:
- Eastern will provide a tuition grant in the amount of $65 per undergraduate聽credit towards the current year tuition.
- Tuition cost is to be updated annually based on the Eastern聽fiscal calendar聽and board approval and communicated to 大发六合彩for recruiting purposes.
- Program participants may apply for all legitimate forms of governmental and nongovernmental聽aid for which they qualify.
- The tuition costs, books and associated fees for the program are payable by individual聽students to Eastern.
Obligations of Eastern University
To facilitate the transfer of 大发六合彩graduates to Eastern in accordance with the聽foregoing guarantee, the parties agree to the following:
- To attend regularly scheduled Partner Day and Evening Programs at DCCC.
- To work with 大发六合彩to develop 鈥淒ual Admissions Intent to Enroll Forms鈥 and Fact sheets聽to be distributed to students upon request.
- To invite 大发六合彩students who have completed a 鈥淒ual Admissions Intent to Enroll Form鈥澛爐o an informational/advising meeting(s) with faculty and staff at Eastern聽in order to facilitate smooth curricular and co-curricular integration into Eastern.
- To send within 30 days of receipt of the 鈥淒ual Admissions Intent Form,鈥 an Eastern letter of admission to all 大发六合彩students who complete a 鈥淒ual Admissions聽Intent Form鈥 and meet the conditions set forth in this Agreement. In order to assure the聽best possible housing assignment considerations, students should confirm their聽intention to matriculate at Eastern聽 as early as possible, but no later than聽August 1st for the fall semester, and by December 1st for the spring semester, and聽satisfy all other Eastern transfer requirements. 大发六合彩students who complete聽a 鈥淒ual Admissions Intent to Enroll Form鈥 will be governed by the Eastern degree requirements in effect at the time of signing the 鈥淒ual Admissions Intent to聽Enroll Form.鈥
- To work with 大发六合彩on Program-to-Program Articulation Agreements that specify how聽the 大发六合彩courses satisfy requirements for degree completion at Eastern.
- To work with 大发六合彩to create a Core requirements checklist.
- To ensure that 大发六合彩Dual Admissions students who matriculate at Eastern have all of聽the rights and privileges of other Eastern students.
- To waive placement tests for 大发六合彩graduates who have completed a college level Math聽and English course.
- To provide an updated course equivalency list on a yearly basis.
Obligations of 大发六合彩:
- To publicize this Agreement to prospective and current 大发六合彩students in its promotional聽literature, and make arrangements for Eastern recruiters and advisors to visit with prospective and current Dual Admission Students at 大发六合彩Transfer Fair programs in the聽Fall and Spring as well as during individual visits to 大发六合彩or other scheduled聽programming.
- To give Eastern the option to promote their programs and to request a list of students聽who have applied for graduation each semester.
Joint Obligations:
- To consult with each other through appropriate channels prior to implementing majors聽changes in policy or curricula that directly affect students transferring under the terms聽of this Agreement, and keep each other informed of any other changes of policy or聽curricula that affect those students.
- To collaborate in providing students with information and academic advising about this聽Agreement, Eastern鈥檚 academic requirements, and the process of transferring to聽Eastern.
- To develop and implement advertising and promotional efforts to communicate the聽benefits of Dual Admissions.
- To designate a representative or representatives at each institution who will coordinate聽the Dual Admissions Agreement between both institutions.
- To exchange data and documents annually that will contribute to the maintenance and聽improvement of this agreement, enhance the transfer process, and promote effective聽cooperation between institutions. These will consist of aggregate data about transfer聽students, including admissions information, academic progress and retention information, and reports on the results of program reviews, and decisions of curricular聽and other committees. Each institution will exchange data after obtaining appropriate permission from the students as indicated on the 鈥淒ual Admissions Intent to Enroll聽Form.鈥
- To facilitate and support consultation and collaboration between their faculties related聽to this agreement, general education, degree requirements, and other academic聽matters.
Revision, Renewal and Termination of this Agreement:
Eastern鈥檚 Provost鈥檚 office and The Transfer Office at 大发六合彩are responsible for identifying, and聽communicating to each other, changes in the policies or requirements of their respective institutions that affect this Agreement. Such changes will become effective when both DCCC聽and Eastern sign a revised document.聽This agreement will be in effect as of the date of its signing. It will be reviewed annually by the聽appropriate parties at each institution, and will be renewed automatically until superseded by a聽new agreement or formally terminated. Either institution may terminate this Agreement at any聽time by written notice at least one year in advance of the effective date of termination. Should聽this agreement be terminated, it is understood that the termination will not apply to students聽already accepted to Eastern under the terms of this agreement.
