WEDnetPA
The Workforce and Economic Development Network of Pennsylvania (WEDnetPA) was created to make companies across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania more competitive by updating and improving the skills of their employees to meet specific company needs through training.
WEDnetPA is an alliance of educational providers across Pennsylvania — including ´ó·¢ÁùºÏ²Ê — that acts as the delivery mechanism for the Commonwealth's grant program. Each provider, known as a serves as the point of contact for businesses accessing training funds. ´ó·¢ÁùºÏ²Ê is a WEDnet partner that serves both Chester and Delaware County businesses.
Training grant funds are available for qualified in-state businesses that have training needs in the areas of Essential Skills Training or Advanced Technology Training. Eligible companies must be manufacturers or technology businesses. The grant funds can help subsidize training costs and improve employee’s job skills. Eligible employees must be employed with the eligible business to receive funding. A company must complete an application through one of the WEDnet Partners and be approved by the state.
