GOAL | $500,000
Central to the College鈥檚 mission is the belief in equity and social justice鈥
a commitment to the larger community to provide continuous opportunities for meaningful engagement that raises awareness, encourages education and understanding, and drives transformative change.
We believe in fostering an inclusive environment where every voice matters. An impactful way to promote equity and social justice is by supporting and uplifting the communities we serve through the Center for Equity & Social Justice's programming and initiatives.
You can support both new and ongoing programs, such as the Dialogues for Diversity Speaker Series which highlights leading voices in the field of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) and is freely accessible. These conversations create new opportunities that foster deeper connections with the broader community. With your help, we can create a more equitable society by bringing in more experts to lead discussions that challenge perspectives and inspire action; encouraging open dialogues that tackle important social issues through additional programming; and equipping our students and community with the tools and understanding to advocate for equity and justice. Together, we can empower voices, ignite conversations, and promote social justice.
听鈥淲hat drew me to [DCCC] was definitely the Workforce Development Program. I came in the fall of 2022 and thought I'd just keep my head down, get the work done, and get out. Instead, I got way more involved than I expected. The Veteran and Military Services was incredibly helpful. I talked with Student Employment Services and they helped me find a job. I'm [a member] of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and did a documentary with them. But starting up the Muslim Student Association is one of my favorite achievements. There's so much that the College has given me to propel me forward so I can achieve the goals I want in life. It's been astronomical.鈥
