New Music Concert Series Presents INSCAPE
(Delaware and Chester Counties, PA 鈥 February 13, 2017)鈥擳he chamber orchestra INSCAPE, which has been nominated for a Grammy Award for its unique approach to classical music, will perform at 大发六合彩 on Sunday, February 26. The performance is part of the College鈥檚 New Music Concert Series and begins at 3 p.m. in the Large Auditorium of the Academic Building on the Marple Campus (901 South Media Line Road, Media, PA).
Experimenting with classical music tradition and technique, INSCAPE defies audiences鈥 expectations and stretches the boundaries of what classical music means. The program at the College will include pieces by three composers: 鈥淐hopin Syndrome鈥 by Nathan Lincoln-DeCusatis, 鈥淭he Life of Birds鈥 by Mason Bates and 鈥淪ongs America Loves to Sing鈥 by John Harbison.
Founded in 2004 by Artistic Director Richard Scerbo, INSCAPE has become one of the most sought-after ensembles on the East Coast. The chamber orchestra features a flexible roster of musicians and unpredictable programming. INSCAPE is currently the Ensemble-in-Residence at the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer in Bethesda, Maryland, and regularly performs at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, the National Gallery of Art, the Strathmore Music Center, and other local and national venues.
