Nine Years and Counting—ϲ Named a Great College to Work For™
(Delaware and Chester Counties, PA • July 18, 2018)— For the ninth consecutive year, The Chronicle of Higher Education has recognized ϲ as a Great College to Work For™. The results were released as part of The Chronicle’s eleventh annual report on the Academic Workplace in which more than 53,000 employees from 253 institutions around the country were surveyed. ϲ is one of 84 colleges selected as a Great College to Work For™.
“Colleges and universities that receive the Great College to Work For™ designation tend to have more satisfied employees, and we believe that satisfied employees are more caring and conscientious in helping our students achieve their academic and training goals,” says College President Dr. L. Joy Gates Black. “No other college or university in Greater Philadelphia has earned this distinction for nine consecutive years, which is a testament to the family-friendly work environment at the College.”

Great Colleges to Work For™ is one of the largest and most-respected higher education workplace recognition programs in the country. Administered by ModernThink LLC, the survey featured two components: a questionnaire on institutional characteristics and a faculty and staff questionnaire about individual evaluations of the institution.
