Marple Campus to Host Solar Eclipse Viewing
(Delaware and Chester Counties, PA • August 16, 2017)—On Monday, August 21, ´ó·¢ÁùºÏ²Ê will host a solar eclipse viewing in the STEM Center on the Marple Campus (901 S. Media Line Road, Media, PA). Members of the public are welcome to stop by the astronomy lab (room 4401) between 12 and 4 p.m. to experience the 2017 solar eclipse. The partial eclipse will reach a maximum (nearly 80% coverage) in the two o’clock hour. College faculty will provide telescopes configured for solar observations and will be eager to discuss and answer questions as the eclipse occurs. Visitors can also make a safe pinhole eclipse viewer and watch live nationwide eclipse coverage.
