The College Presents Pianist Ju-Ping Song on November 20
(Delaware and Chester Counties, PA • November 2, 2016)—Acclaimed pianist Ju-Ping Song will perform at ´ó·¢ÁùºÏ²Ê on Sunday, November 20, at 3 p.m. The performance is part of the College’s New Music Concert Series and will be held in the Large Auditorium of the Academic Building on the Marple Campus (901 S. Media Line Road, Media, PA).
Ju-Ping Song is internationally recognized as a trailblazer of contemporary music. She is the founder and artistic director of NakedEye Ensemble, an innovative new music group based in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, whose mission is to promote works by living composers. She is also a founding member of FLAME Ensemble, a group of 25 musicians who host and perform in the annual FLAME Festival in Florence, Italy.
Ms. Song has served as guest artist at the Boston Symphony Orchestra’s Tanglewood Music Center, Chautauqua Music Festival in New York State, Bogotá New Music Festival, Akyoshidai New Music Festival in Japan, and Klub Katarakt Experimental Music Festival in Hamburg, Germany, among other festivals. She has taught courses at New York University and Manhattan School of Music, as well as master classes in Switzerland, France, Germany, Italy, Taiwan, Japan and throughout the United States.
