First Aid and CPR Courses Offered at Southeast Center
(Delaware and Chester Counties, PA • April 9, 2015)—There’s still time to register for CPR and first aid courses offered at ´ó·¢ÁùºÏ²Ê’s Southeast Center (located in the Curtis Building, 2000 Elmwood Avenue, Sharon Hill). Both classes will be offered Saturday, May 9 and the deadline to register is April 27.Â
The College regularly offers American Heart Association classes in CPR and First Aid Training for healthcare providers and members of the community. Participants learn life-saving skills so they know what to do in a cardiac, breathing or first aid emergency. With summer coming up, these courses are essential for those pursuing work as a lifeguard, camp counselor,  or child care provider as well as parents.Â

Designed for anyone interested in learning lifesaving CPR and first aid techniques, this program is advantageous for scout leaders, coaches, teachers, business employees and others. The course consists of video-based and instructor-led scenarios that teach students the critical skills needed to respond to and manage first aid issues and incidents regarding choking or cardiac arrest emergencies prior to the arrival of emergency medical services.Â

This course is designed to meet the regulatory requirements for child care workers in all 50 States. It teaches babysitters, child care providers and others to respond to and manage illnesses and injuries in a child or infant. The course includes the Four Steps of Pediatric First Aid and modules in Child/Infant CPR AED.Â
