New Music Concert Series Presents Ensemble 54
(Delaware and Chester Counties, PA • February 13, 2013)—´ó·¢ÁùºÏ²Ê’s New Music Concert Series kicks off its spring season with a performance by clarinetists Ensemble 54. The performance is FREE and will be held on Sunday, March 3, at 3 p.m. in the Large Auditorium in the Academic Building on the Marple Campus (901 S. Media Line Road, Media, PA).
Ensemble 54 is a dynamic group made up of four of the East Coast’s most in-demand professional clarinetists. Each member has played with some of the world’s greatest orchestras and brings years of experience in Symphony, Opera and Ballet Orchestras. The group also currently holds chairs in orchestras from the Richmond Symphony to the Pennsylvania Ballet to the North Eastern Philharmonic.Â
The performance will also include the premiere of a clarinet and sitar composition written by Richard Belcastro, an Assistant Professor of Music at ´ó·¢ÁùºÏ²Ê.Â
The College’s New Music Series brings some of the world’s top musicians closer to home for residents of Delaware and Chester Counties. The series highlights the expansive musical experience available in the 21st century, presenting virtuosic and cutting-edge musicians from around the globe. The recently renovated Large Auditorium serves as the venue and boasts an enlarged stage, luxury seating, theatrical lighting, a surround sound system and all-new décor.
Admission is free, but advance ticket reservation is recommended.Â
