Paralegal Studies Expands Program to Include Online Courses, Classes at Southeast and Upper Darby Centers

(Delaware and Chester Counties, PA)— ´ó·¢ÁùºÏ²Ê’s Center for Paralegal Studies is expanding its course offerings to make it easier for students to pursue a paralegal career. Beginning with the summer I session, the program will offer online classes as well as traditional on-campus courses at the Southeast Center (2000 Elmwood Avenue, Curtis Building, Sharon Hill) in addition to the standard Marple Campus offerings. In the fall, courses will be offered for the first time at the Upper Darby Center (Barclay Square, 1570 Garrett Road, Upper Darby).
For both summer I and summer II, several traditional paralegal courses will be offered at the Southeast Center for the first time. These courses include: PLG 100 Introduction to Paralegal; PLG 110 Legal Research and Writing I; PLG 210 Civil Litigation and Tort Principles; and PLG 211 Civil Litigation and Tort Applications. Beginning in the fall, paralegal courses will be offered at the Upper Darby Center for the first time.
The expanded offerings also include a variety of online courses. These courses are: PLG 120 Legal Research and Writing II; PLG 130 Technology in the Law; PLG 140 Contract Law; PLG 200 Family Law (offered in the fall); PLG 220 Real Estate Law; PLG 230 Estates; Trusts and Wills; and PLG 240 Criminal Law.
Since 1985, the College has prepared individuals to become highly skilled paralegals. Students can choose to earn an Associate of Applied Science in Paralegal Studies or a post-baccalaureate certificate. The program offers:
- Affordable tuition
- Online offerings (with the exception of 10 credits required by the ABA to remain traditional on-campus offerings)
- An opportunity to meet, network and learn from judges, practicing attorneys and seasoned paralegals
- Exposure to real-life legal environments through our internship option
- An achievable goal of completing a post-baccalaureate certificate in one year, or an associate degree in two years
- State-of-the-art computers, technology, training, and software to prepare students for a successful career
