New Music Concert Series Presents James Wilson and David Richardson
(Delaware and Chester Counties, PA • February 1, 2016)—´ó·¢ÁùºÏ²Ê’s New Music Concert Series presents baritone Dr. James Wilson and pianist David Richardson performing Franz Schubert’s Winterreise on Sunday, February 28 at 3 p.m. The concert will be held in the College’s Large Auditorium in the Academic Building on the Marple Campus (901 S. Media Line Road, Media, PA).Â
Wilson, an associate professor of music at Wesley College, and Richardson, an associate professor of music at Viterbo University, will perform a multimedia recital of Franz Schubert’s Winterreise, a song cycle for voice and piano based on 24 works by German poet Wilhelm Müller. Each poem will be visually interpreted with artwork by Wesley College art professor Joshua Nobiling, which will be projected in real time with English translations of the German poetry.
Admission is $10 and tickets are available online or at the door.
