College Offers Launch Your Career Comeback Workshop for Women
(Delaware and Chester Counties, PA • January 23, 2017)—´ó·¢ÁùºÏ²Ê will offer the Launch Your Career Comeback workshop from March 7 through May 9. Sessions will be held on Tuesdays from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Marple Campus (901 S. Media Line Road, Media, PA).
Launch Your Career Comeback is a 10-week workshop for women seeking to re-enter the workforce, or return to college to learn employable skills. Whether you have been out of work for some time, or you have decided to re-tool your talents, Launch Your Career Comeback will ease your transition. Participants benefit from personal attention, while exploring their strengths and professional options, creating a résumé, and developing a LinkedIn profile. Sessions also explore strategies for networking. The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator personality evaluation is used in a structured approach to develop each participant’s career-action plan.
The Launch Your Career Comeback workshop leaders are Susan Miller, a counselor in the College’s Career and Counseling Center, and Margaret Schils, a licensed professional counselor who also is a counselor in the College’s Career and Counseling Center. Miller and Schils each have master’s degrees in counseling and have extensive experience in helping women to advance their careers, and in assisting unemployed adults with job search techniques.
The workshop is limited to 12 participants and is on a first-come, first-served basis. The cost, which includes the Myers-Briggs evaluation, is $125 for residents of sponsoring school districts and $155 for others. Seats are filling up quickly—register now by calling the Career and Counseling Center at 610-359-5324.Â
