New Office Administration Certificate
(Delaware and Chester Counties, PA 鈥 May 15, 2017)鈥敶蠓⒘喜 is now offering a short-term certificate program in Office Administration for individuals looking for employment as administrative assistants or office clerks and managers. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the median annual wage for office administration workers is $32,590.
鈥淭he College created this new certificate program based on direct feedback we received from working and unemployed adults in Delaware and Chester Counties,鈥 says Fran Cubberley, Vice President for Enrollment Management. 鈥淢embers of the community said they were looking for a program that would help them acquire the skills necessary for employment in a modern office environment.鈥
The 18-credit certificate program helps students develop their critical thinking and problem solving skills, while also giving them practical experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint. Students will also learn how to communicate effectively and professionally through various mediums. After completing the program, students will be prepared for employment as an administrative assistant, office clerk, secretary or office manager. Students may choose to further their studies by enrolling in the College鈥檚 General Business associate degree program.
The program is offered at most of the College鈥檚 campuses, including the Southeast Center in Sharon Hill, and online. Two upcoming information sessions are available for those interested in learning more:
