(Delaware and Chester Counties, PA - November 8, 2023)鈥擳he Gallery at 大发六合彩 presents the annual 215/610 CONTEMPORARY Juried Exhibition, featuring the work of emerging artists living and working in and around the Greater Philadelphia region.听
The 2023 exhibition will be presented in the College Art Gallery on the College鈥檚 Marple Campus (901 South Media Line Road, Media, PA 19063) from Nov. 13 through Dec. 15. It is juried by artist and educator Mark Thomas Gibson, a Philadelphia-based visual artist working in drawing, painting, print and sculpture. He was awarded a 2022 Guggenheim Fellowship and a Louis Comfort Tiffany Biennial Grant.听
The purpose of the juried exhibition is to showcase local emerging contemporary artists, create a platform for critical discourse through an exchange of ideas, and push the boundaries of an age-old practice. On Tuesday, Nov. 28 at 4 p.m., Gibson will discuss his personal work and practice in a special Juror鈥檚 Talk which is free and open to the public and will be presented both in-person and with a virtual option. In addition to exhibitions, artists are periodically invited to hold lectures, collaborative projects and workshops for the College community and the public.
