Strategic Plan 2026
The role of the community college in our educational system is to serve as a space where all can come to receive a quality education. We can only achieve this goal if each person who walks through our doors has a fair opportunity to succeed. We must bring an equity-minded approach to everything we do at the College to ensure that students, employees, and members of the community can reach their goals here.
President's Message
Our strategic planning process began last year and a committee representing all areas of the College worked diligently to utilize information gathered from students, faculty, staff, and members of the communities we serve to build a plan that will guide us through the next three years. I thank them for their hard work and dedication to ´ó·¢ÁùºÏ²Ê.
The COVID-19 pandemic has forever changed higher education. The pandemic taught us that higher education can pivot quickly, that we can embrace change, and what we once thought of as impossible is absolutely achievable. With that in mind, this strategic plan is meant to be a living document, not a directive set in stone, but one that can be responsive to unexpected situations and circumstances that
may arise in the next three years.
The theme of this strategic plan is Equity for All. Student success, and the success of the communities we serve, is only possible if all students are guaranteed equitable access and support. Equity, meeting students where they are, supporting students on their academic and career journey – this is the heart of who we are as a College.
This plan serves as a roadmap not only for the future of ´ó·¢ÁùºÏ²Ê, but also the future of those who learn and work here. Indeed, it is a roadmap for success, for growth, and for changing lives.
Strategic Plan Initiatives
Equity
Equity is not the same as equality. Equality ensures that every person is provided with the same thing.Â
Engagement
The College commits to using a student-centered approach to examine what success means to students and eliminating barriers to their success.
Enrollment
Educating the citizens of Delaware and Chester Counties is the primary reason ´ó·¢ÁùºÏ²Ê exists.
Expansion
The College seeks to create the equitable expansion of College access and success and to foster greater inclusivity amongst our students, faculty, staff and the communities we serve.Â
Execution
This strategic plan is intended to be a living document that is flexible, intentional, achievable and impactful.
