Lean Toolbox 101: The Fundamentals of Zero Defects (6 hours) Online/Remote Instruction Available聽
Lean is a philosophy that intends to affect the culture of any workplace from manufacturing to healthcare. The goal of Lean is to strive for zero defects when related to the processes employees and managers utilize every day. This course will provide employees with basic knowledge of how to look at their jobs in a new light and make them as efficient as possible, ultimately creating a winning workplace culture and increasing the bottom line.
Lean Toolbox 102: Kaizen Principle (6 hours)聽Online/Remote Instruction Available
The Kaizen Principle was created by Toyota over 40 years ago. Kaizen, which in Japanese translates to 鈥済ood change,鈥 is based upon the belief that continuous, incremental improvement adds up to significant change over time. Students will be introduced to the core tenets of continuous improvement; standardizing processes; focusing on measurability and evaluation of data; comparing results against requirements; innovating new and better habits; responding to changing circumstances and evolving your methods over time.
Lean Toolbox 103: Value Stream Mapping (6 hours)聽Online/Remote Instruction Available
Value Stream Mapping is an essential Lean tool which allows you to see a top-down overview of your business processes. Students will be trained to take a realistic look at internal processes and identify waste and inefficiencies. Additionally, students will be taught to approach wasteful processes with common sense solutions through the use of the seven steps of Value Stream Mapping.
Developing Problem Solvers (8 hours)聽Online/Remote Instruction Available
This class is meant to assist supervisors, or aspiring supervisors, to work with others to create a mindset that desires to be part of solutions and not exacerbate problems. The nature of any work presents daily challenges. How a person approaches these challenges ultimately defines the success of the employee and the organization.
Building Communication and Leadership Skills for Supervisors (48 hours)聽Online/Remote Instruction Available
More than 10,000 baby boomers are retiring a day, a trend that is expected to continue through 2020. This departure from the workforce has created a leadership gap for many companies across all industries. This course is designed for businesses that have a need to train current, oftentimes younger, employees that have little leadership or supervisory experience.

This is an in-depth review of project management principles and aligns with the Project Management Institute鈥檚 A Guide to the Project Management Book of Knowledge-Sixth Edition. It is designed specifically for managers new to, or just starting in, the project management area. This course brings you up-to-speed in current principles and practices of project management. Taught by certified Project Management Professionals working in the field, as well as academic practitioners, you will immediately apply what you have learned.
Public Speaking for Professionals (8 hours)聽Online/Remote Instruction Available
This course is designed to equip you with knowledge of the principles necessary for formal public speaking with an emphasis on organization, evidence, language use, strategy, delivery and business ethics.
