Students interested in studying English for Language Learners (ELL) / English as a Second Language (ESL) 听have two options: credit courses or non-credit courses.
Credit ELL courses
The College's ELL Program听is administered through the听Communications, Arts &听Humanities听division and includes courses in Grammar, Writing,听Reading,听and Listening and Speaking.听These courses are designed to prepare students for academic coursework.听A full-time ELL course load is four courses, equal to 18 hours of听classroom instruction and tutoring听per week. Non-credit ESL courses
Non-credit ESL courses are administered through听Continuing Education听and may include up to four hours of instruction per week in subjects such as pronunciation, conversation, TOEFL听preparation, and more. Non-credit courses offer students of all backgrounds a friendly and enriching environment in which to study.
